January 2010 High Power Rifle Match
        Robert Coffey won the first match of the new decade with a score of 485-18X.  He won the Slowfire Prone match with 198-13X, the Rapidfire Prone match with 98-2X and the Offhand match with 94.  Manuel Martinez won the Rapidfire Sitting match with 98-3X.
        Three shooters fired the 50 yard rimfire silhouette match this month.  Manuel Martinez won with a total of twelve, 3 chickens, 3 pigs, 2 turkeys and 4 rams.
        The weather was sunny and Santa Ana warm and quite confortable compared to the previous Saturday.  The range was a much better place to be than sitting in front of the tube watching bad football.  Turnout was nine shooters including one new member.
        Tom Temple again served as Range Safety Officer and called the match.  Thanks again, Tom.
        Next match is February 6 (see the 2010 match schedule) and it is a 50 shot National Match course.  The February auxiliary match will be a 60 shot pistol match, any pistol, any sights.  See our new pistol page for more details.  Shooters who wish to fire the pistol match only should plan to arrive at the range by 10 AM for a pre-match orientation.  We are aiming for a 9:30 AM start time for the match.  See you there.

February 2010 High Power Rifle Match
        Steve Caplan won with a score of 471-7X.  Rain seriously dampened the turnout, both those who stayed at home and those who chose to shoot.
        The score sheet has headings in a non-standard order so the individual match scores may not be correct but the agg's should be OK; the scores will be listed as posted under the headings except where clearly posted differently.  The usual bolding of the high scores for each match will be omitted this month due to the uncertainty of the headings.
         Next match is March 6 (see the 2010 match schedule) and it is a 60 shot Service Rifle Match.   The March auxiliary match will be a 20 shot silhouette match.  We are aiming for a 9:30 AM start time.   See you there.
